The Khankute horn decorative kukri is named after the small Dhanute village, located in the eastern part of Nepal where this particular kukri and others like it are designed and made. The Kaamis (Craftsmen) of Dhankuta village specialize in such decorative Kukri. The scabbard made of water buffalo simply worked and decoratively designed with a fancy scabbard that displays national symbols mounted on its front panel. The scabbard displays various national monograms made from metallic sheets such as White metal presenting the king’s crown (Shree-pech), national bird (Danfe), national flower (Laligurans), Gurkha insignia (khukuri cross) national fish. The blade is 8”long made of highly graded carbon steel. The handle is made of Rose wood, which is approximately 5” long. A beautiful piece of workmanship this Kukri makes for a magnificent gift.

Two Accessory Knives: The Karda; which has a sharp edge is used of skinning animal hairs & other one is called Chakmak (blunt) is used for sharpening blade.
